The main parameters of the ball screw are: pitch diameter, bottom diameter, lead, ball diameter, number of cycles, nut installation size, dynamic load, static load, contact rigidity, screw outer diameter, etc. The outer diameter and lead of the screw rod, these two parameters determine the load of the ball screw rod. They are standard values and are calculated and selected based on the conditions mentioned above. There is also a parameter to be considered in the selection of the screw: the number of ball rows. For other external dimensions, the ball nut is determined according to the lead screw, the number of rows, the circulation mode, and the installation form. The rod end size and form mainly depend on the installation form.
The structure of the ball screw: The ball screw nut pair is a commonly used transmission device for converting rotary motion into linear motion. It replaces the sliding in the screw nut pair with the rolling of the ball, with low friction and good performance.
Ball screws generally have several technical requirements, probably as follows:
1. Geometric accuracy, including travel deviation inspection, runout inspection, and position tolerance inspection. The stroke deviation includes the target stroke tolerance, the effective stroke compensation value, the amount of change within the effective stroke, and the stroke deviation within one revolution. The runout deviation includes the radial runout of the thread's outer diameter to the axis, the journal runout, the shoulder round runout, and the circular runout of the mounting end with nut preload facing the axis;
2. Material and heat treatment;
3. The size of preload and pretension load.
The ball screw drive system is a rolling screw drive system that uses balls as the rolling medium. The ball screw is produced by a professional manufacturer. If there is no special requirement, the accuracy grade and geometric dimensions can be given.
